About MVCHP
The Missouri Valley Coaltionfor Homeless People, Inc., is a regional nonprofit dedicated to helping ensure that housing and other basic human needs are within everyone’s reach in an affordable and dignified manner. The Coalition is comprised of over 40 nonprofits, government agencies, churches, businesses and citizens, all of which have an interest in the issues of homelessness and/or the less fortunate.
MVCHP is committed to the belief that everyone deserves a place to call home.

Monthly Coalition Meetings
2025 Coalition and Board of Directors Meeting Schedule
Join our monthly Coalition meetings to connect directly with local service providers and community members committed to MVCHP’s vision: Everyone Deserves a Place to Call Home. Meetings are open to the public, and membership is not required to attend.
Coalition meetings take place on the 4th Monday of each month (holiday exceptions occur), and currently convene in person.
All meetings run from 10am-11:30am CT

Events Set for 2024 Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week
MVCHP member organizations will host activities during Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, November 17–23, 2024, joining national- and state-level efforts to educate, increase awareness, and promote action to end hunger and homelessness.
MVCHP Statement on Bismarck City Ordinance 6587, “Homeless Encampment Ban”
MVCHP applauds our city leaders for seeking solutions to address the challenges associated with homelessness. However, regarding this ordinance, we believe more consultation and collaboration is needed to develop a service-oriented, public-health centered plan that involves city outreach beyond law enforcement.
